Tuna Mornay Pasta Bake


  • 500 Grams Pasta Dried
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Plain Flour
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1 1/2 Cups Cheese Grated
  • 1 Cup Peas Frozen
  • 425 Grams Tuna Canned in spring water, drained
  • 1/2 Cup Breadcrumbs Dried


Cook the pasta as per the directions on the packet. Drain and set aside.
While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large saucepan. Stir through the flour, and continue stirring for around 1 minute. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly. Continue stirring until the sauce has thickened. Once the sauce has thickened, season to taste, and add 1 cup of the cheese, the peas and the tuna.
Combine the cooked pasta and the tuna mixture, then pour into a large baking dish. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese and the breadcrumbs.
Bake at 180c for 15 minutes. Serve with a side salad.
