These Tiny Teddy Cars are so much fun to put together, making them a great activity for the kids. They work really well for birthday parties, even adults can’t resist them. They are also very simple, requiring only 4 ingredients; Tiny Teddies, fun size Milky Way bars, Smarties and melted chocolate, which is used as glue to stick on the Smarties. The ingredients are of course can be changed depending on what you have on hand. You could use M&Ms instead of the Smarties, and any other fun sized bar instead of the Milky Way bars. You could even use your own Homemade Tiny Teddy Biscuits.
This recipe is a great opportunity for kids to get involved in the kitchen. Even young kids can sort the Smarties into colours, as well as count out 1 Tiny Teddy and 5 Smarties for each car. They also enjoy sticking the smarties to the car once the melted chocolate is in place on the milk Way bars.
- 1 bag of 18 Milky Way fun size bars
- 1 box honey flavoured Tiny Teddy biscuits
- 1 bag Smarties
- 50g dark or milk chocolate, melted
Remove the Milky Way bars from their wrappers and place on a serving tray.
Sort the Smarties into groups of colours, setting aside 5 Smarties per Milky Way.
Gently push the Tiny Teddy biscuits into the Milky Way bars, until the teddies are about half way into the bars.
Either pipe or use the back of a spoon to place small amounts of melted chocolate onto the milky Way bars in the spots where the Smarties will be placed, and gently stick the Smarties onto the bars, one for the steering wheel and four for wheels.
Allow chocolate to set before serving.
