Tim Tam Brownies

 Tim Tam Brownies

These Tim Tam Brownies combine two classics into one amazing treat; who doesn’t love Tim Tams and brownies.  You can use any flavoured Tim Tams in this recipe, I used one packet of dark chocolate and one packets of white chocolate.  I had a few Tim Tams left in each pack after assembling my brownies, which is not really a problem, they never last long in our house.  You an also alter the cooking time depending on  how you like your brownies, a shorter cooking time will give you a gooier brownie, while cooking for slightly longer will result in a firmer brownie.

Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 180g butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup plain flour
  • 2 x 165g packets Tim Tam (any flavour, I used 1 packet white chocolate and 1 packet dark chocolate)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 160c and line a slice tin with baking paper.
Place the chocolate and butter in a microwave safe bowl and melt in the microwave.
In another bowl, whisk the brown sugar and eggs until well combined.
Stir the chocolate through the egg mixture, then add the flour and and stir until well combined.
Pour 2/3 of the brownie mixture into the slice tin, them place the Tim Tams in the tin. You won't need the entire 2 packets, but just use however many fit in your slice tin. Pour the remaining brownie mixture on top of the Tim Tams.
Bake in the oven for around 35 minutes. The brownie will still feel very soft when it comes out of the oven, but will harden up as it cools. Allow the brownie to cool completely before slicing.
