Licorice Allsorts Slice

Licorice Allsorts Slice

If you liked our Clinkers Slice, there is a good chance you are going to love our Licorice Allsorts Slice.  Licorice is really not something I would eat (I used to be the kid who would pull apart the allsorts, eat the coloured sections but leave the black layers), but in this slice it’s fantastic.  It’s another slice that is extremely easy to make, and requires no baking whatsoever.  The most cooking that is involved is melting together the butter and sweetened condensed milk, and then the chocolate.

It’s such a pretty slice to cut through; you get all these hits of colour from the licorice popping through as you slice through it.  The recipe calls for melted chocolate to be spread over the top of the slice, but we also swirled a little pink and yellow chocolate through the melted chocolate for this photo.  Of course you can use any flavour chocolate you like of top, whether it be dark, milk or white.
