Chocolate Caramilk Slice | No Bake Recipe

If you love Cadbury Caramilk chocolate (and have managed to find yourself a block or two), then you MUST try this no bake Chocolate Caramilk Slice.

You probably remember Cadbury Caramilk chocolate from the 90’s, and have probably also heard all about it making a comeback.  First Cadbury released it in in limited amounts in New Zealand, resulting in people buying up big and selling it to Australian’s on eBay for $30 a block.  Then, Cadbury finally released it in Australia last week, and supermarkets have been selling out in record time.

My husband managed to score 4 blocks from Coles the day after it was released in Australia, and it got me thinking about the kinds of treats I could make with it.  I know Caramilk is not to everyone’s tastes, but I think it’s delicious, and it’s even better when made into this no bake Chocolate Caramilk Slice.  It’s similar to my Chocolate Caramello Slice, but in addition to being made with Caramilk it also has a layer of Caramilk on top.  Yum!

To make this slice, first line a slice tray with baking paper and set aside.  Crush the entire packet on plain biscuits using a food processor or by placing in a zip lock bag and bashing with a rolling pin.  Set aside.

Break up the block of Caramilk chocolate and add to a large microwave safe bowl with the butter.  Melt in the microwave and stir until smooth and well combined.  Add the crushed biscuits, desiccated coconut and sweetened condensed milk to the melted chocolate and mix once again until well combined.  Transfer the mixture to the prepared slice tray and press down evenly with your fingers or the back of a spoon.  Place in the fridge to begin setting.

Break up the second block of Caramilk chocolate and place it in a small microwave safe bowl.  Microwave until melted and stir until smooth.  Spread over the slice base and place back in the fridge for at least a few hours to set.  Slice and serve.
