Bargain Mums Blog Income Report – April

Ever wondered how I make money blogging? I share how I made $481.16 in April while working from home.

It feels a little strange to be doing this, but I thought it might help my readers by giving them an insight into the inner workings of my website, and the income it makes.  I will aim to share the income Bargain Mums generates each month, plus little hints and tips to help you increase your earnings if you run your own blog, or are thinking of starting one.  These reports will only include income directly generated from the Bargain Mums website to ensure they are relevant.

April Income – $481.16

This months income was significantly lower than what Bargain Mums would normally make.  I had my second baby only 3 months ago and completely underestimated how much less time it would leave me for working.  It is interesting though to get a bit of an insight into how much income my website generates passively, as I haven’t put too much effort at all into income generation this month.

DGM – $310

Adsense – $9.26

JackMedia – $79.95

Ticket Mates – $6.60

INC Network – $13.40

Product Sales – $61.95

Adsense is something I only started trialling on my website mid way through the month.  It hasn’t earned much of an income, some clicks only seem to earn one cent, which makes it seem not worth the space on the site.  However, it really is a set and forget type of income.  I started off with just an ad in the sidebar, but placed an additional ad in the footer a few days back, so I will keep going with Adsense for a few more months to see if it generates more income this way, and I will report back in the coming months.

My focus over the coming months will be slightly more on creating digital products, since income diversification is very important, and I feel like this is an area I’m lacking in right now.  I have so many ideas running through my head, so it’s time to sit down and start creating (in between baby feeding and cuddles, and keeping my toddler busy).
