Tips for making the perfect roast potatoes

  • Cut the potatoes pieces the same size. This will ensure the potatoes will cook evenly.
  • Coat the potatoes well in oil before air frying. This will help the potatoes get their ultra crispy outside.
  • Shake the air fryer basket at least once during the cooking time. This will help the potatoes to cook evenly all over.

Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes

Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

These air fryer roast potatoes are crispy on the outside and perfectly soft inside. Best of all, they are ready in less than 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 500g (1 pound) potatoes, peeled and cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Add the cut peeled potatoes to a mixing bowl and drizzle over the olive oil. Season with the salt and pepper. Stir until the potatoes are coated well in the olive oil.
  2. Transfer the potatoes to the air fryer basket. Air fry at 190c (375F) for 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until golden.
  3. Serve while warm and crispy.

Notes

  • Cut the potatoes the same size to ensure even cooking.
  • Preheating the air fryer is not necessary, but if you prefer to preheat reduce the cooking time slightly.
  • Keep an eye on the potatoes as they cook. Some air fryer cook faster than others so cooking times may vary.
  • I have peeled my potatoes for this recipe, but feel free to roast your potatoes unpeeled.
