DIY Orange Vinegar Cleaner
If you are anything like us, you use vinegar in crazy amounts around your house! It’s the perfect cleaner; it’s dirt cheap and the bonus is it’s non-toxic, unlike some other household cleaners. The cost to make this cleaner is an absolute fraction of the cost of purchasing supermarket multi-purpose cleaner. While the vinegar smell you are left with does disappear after a short while, and there is nothing wrong with the smell of vinegar, sometimes it nice to use something slightly more fragrant. This DIY Orange Vinegar Cleaner is perfect for that! Plus, citrus is great at breaking down oils, which makes vinegar just that bit more powerful of a cleaner.
Orange vinegar cleaner couldn’t be simpler to make. Just grab a spray bottle, fill it with the peel of an orange and top with vinegar. Let it sit for at least 2 weeks and it’s good to go. If you want a stronger fragrance, you can add more orange peel, or add a few drops of orange essential oils to give it a boost. You can even get creative with your vinegar cleaner, it doesn’t have to be orange. Any citrus works well, such as lemon peel or grapefruit peel, or even a combination. Just use whatever you have handy. Once it’s ready to use, just spray it on the surface you are cleaning and wipe with a damp cloth. You can also dilute it with equal amounts of water to the vinegar if you prefer your cleaner to be not quite as strong.
